Korle-Bu Neuroscience Center Fundraiser

The Doctors for United Medical Missions (DrUMM) organization and the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation will be the joint hosts for the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Center fundraiser on February 2, 2008, from 4:00 – 10:00 PM, at the Ghana Embassy in Washington, D.C.:

Information on the importance of this center in Ghana can be found here. The keynote speaker for this event will be Dr. Benjamin Carson of Johns Hopkins Hospital's Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet:

• Patients and families that have been affected by the lack of neurological and neurosurgical facilities in Ghana.
• Organizations and individuals experienced with general health care and neurosurgical health care in Ghana.
• National and interational dignitaries.

About the Keynote Speaker

Dr. Benjamin Carson is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery, Co-Director of the Craniofacial Center, and a professor of Neurological Surgery, Oncology, Plastic Surgery and Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Carson's profile can be viewed here.

Doctors for United Medical Missions (DrUMM) is a non-profit, 501c3 organization. The tax deduction for fundraiser tickets does not include the cost of dinner. The exact deductible value will therefore be provided at the fundraiser event. Donations are 100% tax deductible.
